Criterium Placing Secured by Cantwell

1000 metre World Junior Track Champion Tom Palmer (City of Greater Geelong) held off Victorian Gary Mueller (Total Rush) to win stage 5 of the GMHBA Tour of Geelong and 2009 Victorian Open Road Championships. Joel Pearson (Savings & Loans) placed third, although neither Mueller nor Pearson are still in the tour.

SKCC Spoke(n) Classic Road Race 2009

Sale to Bairnsdale

Wellington Cycling Club put on an excellent day of cycling with the annual Sale to Bairnsdale race. With a strong field from the Gippsland region and several making the trip from Melbourne.

With great scenery, quiet roads and strong competition the racing in Gippsland is well worth the visit. Keep an eye out for the Sale to Dargo race in early November – AeonPhoto will be covering the event.

A special mention to Phil Brown from St Kilda Cycling Club who recently moved to Sale and won his first race in the local C grade competition

Photos from the Neometro/Primeestate feature event at St Kilda’s Port Melbourne circuit Sunday 22nd March are now in the gallery

An exciting morning of racing sponsored by Primeestate and Neometro with the Primestate team being out in force

The retro kit was on display accompanying the classic fixie bikes

In the Men’s A grade race the Primeestate team spent a lot of time on the front..

…and made a heroic effort in the breakaway

But were caught on the bell lap and Robbie Crowe took out the bunch sprint
